PUMBA Voice & violin meet 7-string guitar & effects. A colorful mixture of traditional music from the South American continent and Mediterranean Europe are the initial flame that brought the two musicians of the duo PUMBA together. Besides traditional songs they are inspired by jazz and pop elements and merge their distinct musical worlds to smoothly flowing soundscapes and captivating rhythms. Their own compositions come from a place of connection and humor and move somewhere between spherical melodies, and spicy grooves. Annabella Raiona - vocals & violin ~ studied Turkish and Greek traditional music, has family in Brasil and strong connections to the Spanish speaking parts of the world Timon Grohs - guitar & pedal board ~ studied pop guitar and feels inspired by the meeting point of voice and instrument and the beauty of simplicity
